Clean Tech Development Center

The European Union has decided that airlines need to cut their CO2 emissions within the coming years. The Kyoto treaty will have major global consequences for aviation.

This is why Clean Tech Development Center BV (CTDC) is dedicated to the further development and introduction of bio fuels for the aerospace industries, initially with bio-avgas and subsequently bio-kerosene. CTDC is based at Twente Airport (IATA: ENS, ICAO: EHTW).

Testing of renewable fuels and fuel blends, retrofitting of aircraft engines to make these bio-fuel compatible, certification of bio fuels, testing of propeller- as well as turbine engines, and facilitation of the commercial distribution of bio fuels to airports are all part of CTDC’s activities. Cooperation with engine manufacturers, aircraft producers, technical universities, NATO and traditional aviation fuel providers is rapidly expanding internationally.

Xegasus Aviation Investments BV is a shareholder in Clean Tech Development Center and has acquired a substantial interest.
